R&WR Short Line Railroad

LOCATION: Georgetown (North)
SCALE: HO
SIZE:
OPERATING SESSIONS: Yes
The R&WR Short Line Railroad is a freelance railroad running with DCC using NCE Power Cab. For operations we use JMRI for creating switch lists and manifests. The railroad has visible staging and currently supports two towns. There is no passenger service or through trains; freight turns only. The town of Brandon is 95% complete in operations and scenery. There are future expansion plans to increase traffic in Brandon by enlarging the current car float operation. The other existing town is Jackson Heights which is about 30% complete in scenery. The trackwork is about 80% complete with the layout finalized but some problem areas in the turnouts.

Future expansion plans include adding one additional town serviced by the car float operation out of Brandon. The layout has no yards and traffic runs from staging to one of the towns and returns to staging. All operating sessions are currently used to identify problems and to enhance operating fun.

Always looking for operators to come out to assist in fine tuning the railroad. Contact Bill (via Bob Thiele or George Zapalac, if necessary) if you'd like to run some trains.
