David and Karen Batchelor's
Central of Georgia Railroad

LOCATION: Spicewood (Southwest)
SCALE: G
The Central of Georgia Railroad was a real railroad in Georgia where David’s father worked for many years. David’s garden railroad is built around beautiful waterfall and 60-foot stream with a picnic area in the middle of the layout.

The Central of Georgia Railroad has over 200-ft. of track and runs on DC power through the rails. There are two passing sidings and two loops: an outer loop 66-ft. long and an inner loop that is 60-ft. long.

The railroad crosses the stream three times. Just like a prototypical railroad, David’s bridges get his trains across the water!

Though the railroad was built for their grandkids’ enjoyment, it is obvious “Dudah” (his grandkid’s nickname for David) truly enjoys building and operating his layout.
