Is there a source for homosote in the Austin area?

This doesn't mean that there isn't, but I have never seen it in the bigger box lumber stores. You might want to call around the smaller ones. Years ago, I heard (I never verified) that McCoy's carried it. You might also check on each store's web site to see if possibly you could special order it.

Guys, a building supply in Round Rock carries it as that is where I have purchased most of my homosote.
I cannot remember the name offhand but it is located just north of the RR tracks and immediately east of the old Hwy overpass in downtown.

Did you buy it from there recently? That area has seen plenty of plowing under and rebuilding.
