Gerald Burgess'
SC&C Dry Creek Railroad

LOCATION: Cedar Park (Northwest)
SCALE: G
SIZE: 44' x 40' +
This garden railroad is modeled after a branch line of the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad which ran from Galveston to Denver and Kansas City. There is a branch line in the northern Texas Hill Country running between Lampasas, San Saba and Brady, and an interchange yard at Lomita, just east of Lampasas, is used by both the main line and the branch line.

The railroad is a point-to-point design with 3 passing sidings, an interchange yard, and about fifteen industrial sidings. There is approximately 125 feet of main line track, with an approximately 175 feet of total track and 15 turnouts. A new, large loop with two passing sidings is under construction.

Currently the railroad has two NW 2 switchers, a GP7, a Budd rail car, a Bachmann 4-6-0 steam engine and 35 freight cars. The railroad can operate two or three trains and about four to five engines simultaneously.
